[Greek] ἀποκαλύπτω (apokalyptō), [Latin] revelare: to reveal, to disclose, to manifest, to make fully known, 32 scriptural references
Pope Pius X prophetically reveals the Modernists’ intentions to undermine, to remake, and to democratize Jesus’ Church into a synodal Church in the image of man.
Background information:
Greek Hellenism: This term means to uncover, to reveal, to disclose, to draw aside, and to unmask. The Greeks regarded the gods as basic forms of reality, open and hidden.
Plato’s Protagoras 352a: “Come my good Protagoras, uncover some more of your thoughts.”
Plato’s Gorgias 455d: “Well, I will try, Socrates to reveal to you clearly the whole power of rhetoric.”
Plato’s Gorgias 460a: “For heaven’s sake, draw aside the veil and tell us what really is the function of rhetoric.”
Old Testament: This term means to reveal, to make known, to uncover, to lay bare, to unseal, to take away, and to remove. Yahweh is the living God who only reveals Himself when He wills it.
Isaiah’s prophecy foreshadowing of the Jews’ disbelief that Jesus encountered:
Isa. 6:9-10: “Look carefully, but do not understand! Look intently, but do not perceive! Make the heart of this people sluggish, dull their ears and close their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and their heart understand, and they turn and be healed.”
New Testament: This term means to reveal and to disclose. Whatever has been handed over to Jesus has been revealed from the Father. For Mary a sword will pierce [through her], so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. As in the days of Noah (carousing and improper marriage) and days of Lot (carousing and sodomy), the Son of Man is revealed. True wisdom from God is revealed to us through the Spirit. God revealed His Son to me [Paul]. Paul’s insights into the mysteries of Christ has not been revealed to His holy Apostles [now in this generation]. The lawless one will be revealed and rendered powerless. For purposes of brevity, I will reveal how this term impacts our human nature:
Scriptures of when human nature is revealed:
Mt.10:26: “Nothing is concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known.” (Although one may initially experience harm or persecution, one must not be afraid to speak in the light and proclaim the truth. One’s evil intentions or one’s good character may be revealed. Right and wrong, truth and error will eventually be revealed.)
Mt.11:25: “For although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned, you have revealed them to the childlike.” (The prideful and arrogant scribes and Pharisees rejected Jesus teachings, preaching, and deeds. One is called to have childlike trust (faith) to received the Father’s revelations. This revelation is refused by the arrogant.)
Jn.12:38-40: “Lord to whom has the might of the Lord been revealed…He blinded their eyes and hardened their heart so that they might not see with their eyes and understand with their heart and be converted.” (Through Isaiah’s prophecy, John provides the foreshadowing (historical explanation) of the Jews’ disbelief. This disbelief sets the stage for the Gentiles to receive this revelation.)
Rom.1:18: “The wrath of God is indeed being revealed from heaven against every impiety and wickedness of those who suppress the truth by their wickedness.” (The wrath of God makes reference to the Old Testament phrase illustrating God’s opposition against evil. There is a close association of idolatry and immorality. God’s wrath goes into action in the present moment in humanity’s history.)
Rom.8:18: “I consider that the sufferings of this present time are as nothing compared to the glory to be revealed for us.” (The glory that believers are destined to share far exceeds the sufferings in the present life. Each will share in the penalty of corruption brought about by sin and in benefits of redemption and future glory.)
1Cor.3:13: “The work of each will come to light, for the Day will disclose it. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire [itself] will test the quality of each one’s work.” (This is the day of judgment before God. This may be a time of gloom or joy. If one’s work stands up, that person will be saved. If one’s work is burned up, that person will suffer loss. This person will be saved, but only through fire.)
2Thess.2:6: “And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his time.” (This unclearly defined person (or force) is known to restrain the lawless one. There are various interpretations as to who are what this restrainer might be.)
Vital (real) immanence: how the Modernists reveal themselves:
- They reveal themselves as philosopher, believer, theologian, historian, critic, apologist, and reformer.
- God and Religious philosophy is confined entirely within the field of one’s perceptions and senses. Modernists begin with agnosticism.
- One has no right to transgress these limits and recognizes God’s existence. God and all that is divine is excluded.
- Modernists make the transition to atheism, which is denial of God’s influence and importance in the affairs of man.
- Vital immanence: all revelation (explanation) must be looked for (and reasoned) from inside the person. All external revelation (outside of man) must be denied.
- Religious immanence: religion must be found in the life of man and (not outside the life of the person).
- Sentiment (movement of the heart): this internal reasoning and understanding produce Church teachings and dogma. Revelation abides here.
Conclusion:
Reveal, revelation, apocalypse, apocalyptic
In contrast to the fickle and capricious gods of Greek Hellenism, Yahweh is more intentional in dispensing His revelation.
The simple and childlike are often more receptive to receiving the Father’s revelation. Peter’s revelation indicates his pre-eminent status as the leader of the Apostles. Mary continues to be an intercessor for the thoughts and pleas of others. It is very important to remember that our current worldly struggles and suffering pale in comparison to the later eternal weight of glory that will come. It is also important to note that like the Galatians, we are the heirs of Abraham’s promise.
It is interesting to note that this term is not found in Revelation.
The notion of being taken possession by Christ runs contrary to the prevailing values of this post-Christian secular world. Each one of us will be judged by our actions before God. Even when many of us think we can do what ever we want (because we have the “right to do so”), we cannot escape judgment from God.
Update: As the months have passed, President Biden’s lack of mental and physical fitness are being revealed to the American people.
In the name of saving democracy, President Biden has been forced to end his re-nomination for a Vice President who hard any delegates. Like 3rd world banana republic, politicos and unelected oligarchs (donors) has thrown their support to Vice President Kamala Harris. This is become very revealing in their continuing attempts to gaslight the American people.
It is also very revealing that President Biden still has still not given a reason for ending his candidacy. White House reports are asking KJP this very question. Very revealing.
Democratic efforts and talking points are being made to remove all mention of Vice President Kamala being the “border czar”, and a DEI hire. They are sending out talking points that criticizing Kamala Harris is both sexist and racist. Very revealing.!
It is evident that perhaps many of us do not realize that we may only live just a very short time (”a drop in the bucket”) of existence in this world. We can often fail to consider the eternal consequences of our actions.
Many of us perhaps have not really considered we will ultimately be accountable for our sinful actions (abortion, euthanasia, transgenderism, gay marriage, etc.) before God. Oftentimes, we cannot see the spiritual (moral) consequences of their actions.
It has become evident that universities and colleges have become being breeding grounds for anti-Semitism, Marxism, pro-Hamas terrorist leanings, culture cancel, and affirmative action.
It has become evident to many that silence on the Hamas terrorist acts may be likened to tacit support for Hamas. Protests supporting Gaza have sometime morphed in protests supporting Hamas.
A Catholic understanding of the meaning of suffering can become very helpful in revealing perspectives on suffering, carrying crosses, and persecution in relationship with God (Jesus).
Cardinal Sarah states that the Modernists are in engaged in a “practical atheism” where God has become irrelevant in modern life. Abandonment of Church teachings and Tradition is illustrative of this practical atheism.
Several have mentioned that Pope Benedict XVI had acted like a katechon (restrainer) against Pope Francis’ “reform” of the Church.
Pope Francis has now revealed his efforts to diminish the status and authority of the Papacy. Pope Francis wants the papacy to be “taken down a peg” in order for it be more acceptable to other faiths.
Pope Francis and his inner circle have revealed their efforts to further clamp down and remove the Traditional Latin Mass. They claim that Church ecclesiology has changed. Having two liturgical worship forms TLM and NOM is “divisive”
In his further efforts to diminish and democratize the clergy, Pope Francis and his inner circle seeks to create the position of “non-ordained women deacons” (deaconesses).
