Quo Primum-The Latin Mass is forever. The New(world)Order/Novus Ordo mass is illegal. - YouTube

St. Pope Pius V stated that the Traditional Latin Mass must be perpetually bound to the Church liturgy. Yet Traditionis Custodes contradicts this. Pope Leo XIV must ultimately address this divisive issue in the Church.

Background information:

Old Testament: This term means to declare forbidden (or permitted), to impose, and to remove an obligation.

New Testament: This term means to tie up, to arrest, to bind, to restrain, to tether, to seize, to imprison, and to knit. For purposes of brevity, I will exclude literal binding, restraining, and imprisoning.

Scriptures:

Mt.12:29: “How can anyone enter a strong man’s house and steal his property, unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can plunder the house.”

  1. Strong man: Satan
  2. Strong man’s house: Satan’s domain (world, worldliness, spirits of men/women, demons, what Satan uses to control others)
  3. Satan’s property: the possessed, controlled, and influenced person
  4. Anyone: Jesus is the one entering Satan’s house, removing his property (those possessed, controlled, and influenced), and subduing Satan. It is the Spirit of God that drives out demons.

Mt.13:30: “Let them [wheat and weeds] grow together until harvest; then at harvest time I will say to the harvesters, ‘First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles for burning; but gather the wheat into my barn.'” (Oftentimes, the WHEAT IS INDISTINGUISHABLE FROM THE WEEDS. They must grow together until harvests. The harvest is a common biblical metaphor for the time of God’s judgment. Good works will be separated by evil works.)

Mt.16:19: “I will give you the keys [authority] of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” (Peter was given primary authority with the keys to lead the apostles. Peter was also given the authority to lift, to impose, to forgive, and to ban. It is inferred that this authority was also given to Peter’s successors. This indicates a connection between the Church on earth and the kingdom of heaven.)

Lk.13:16: “This daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound for eighteen years now, ought she not to have been set free on the sabbath day from this bondage?” (Affliction and infirmity are taken as evidence of Satan’s hold on humanity. Satan inflicted this disease on her. This was not merely a possession by the devil. Perhaps, providence allowed this to happen for Jesus to make this healing on the sabbath.)

Acts 20:22: “But now, compelled by the Holy Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem. What will happen to me there I do not know, except that in one city after another the Holy Spirit has been warning me about that imprisonment and hardships await me.” (Paul was courageously following in his own apostolic mission in spite of uncertainties and difficulties.)

1Cor.7:27: “Are you bound to a wife? Do not seek a separation. Are you free of a wife? Then do not look for a wife.”

Paul’s advice to singles, virgins, and widows:

  1. Paul wants us to be free of these anxieties (responsibilities).
  2. An unmarried man is anxious about the things of the Lord and in how he may please Him.
  3. A married man is anxious about the things of the world and in how he may please his wife. He is bound to his wife.
  4. An unmarred woman or virgin is anxious about the things of the Lord.
  5. A married woman is anxious about the things of the world and in how she may please her husband. She is bound to her husband.
  6. Paul personally believes that the unmarried state allows one to better focus on the Lord without distraction.

Catholic understanding of the papacy:

What are the significance of the keys? Jesus has essentially given the keys of authority in the kingdom of heaven on earth. This notion makes reference to King David giving keys of authority to his prime minister Eliakim who is charge of his palace.(Isa.22:20-22)

Why was it necessary for Jesus to select Simon (Peter) to be His rock of the Church? Jesus intended to have ONE EVERLASTING Church in which neither the gates of hell shall never prevail against it. As a result, many have opposed this idea. Therefore, we now have over 45,000 churches and denominations in the world.

What is this power to bind and loose? These are powers to refuse, to forbid, to allow, to hold, and to forgive. This binding and loosing extends to Catholic clergy forgiving sin in the sacrament of reconciliation. This binding and loosing partially finds its roots in rabbis forbidding and permitting.

How does this relate to the sacrament of reconciliation (confession)? The Catholic bishops are the successors to the Apostles. Priests receive the ordination from the bishop. Priests, acting in the person of Christ, can bestow forgiveness to those who confess their sins. These priest must first hear from the penitent as to which sins must be forgiven.

Summorum Pontificum: Pope Benedict XVI stated that priests could celebrate Mass according to the Missal promulgated by Pope John XXII in 1962.

Traditionis Custodes: Pope Francis abrogated Summorum Pontificum.

Conclusion

Alligation, ligation, congregate, congregation, attach, attachment, chain, chained, assemble, bind incarcerate, incarceration, guide, guidance furher, educate

Old Testament: Rabbis have the power to forbid, to permit, to impose, and to remove.

New Testament: There is only one rabbi (teacher) who is Jesus. Jesus’s followers are called disciples.

Update: One does not need to be possessed in order to be influenced by Satan. Satan can bind a person through distraction, busyness, being enslaved to sin and addictions, spiritual dryness, confusion, worldliness, attachments to gods, fame, power, and believing that there is no Satan. Satan only needs to make us forget about God.

Many times it is often quite difficult to clearly separate the good from the bad. Many times these distinctions (between good and bad) may become blurred, specially in doctrinal, liturgical, and moral matters. God will eventually separate or distinguish the sheep and goats at the judgement.

False compassion, tolerance, inclusion, “mercy above all else”, “pushing the doctrinal envelope” can quite often blur the distinctions between orthodox teachings with heresy and sin.

God (Jesus) intended to establish only one Church. The bestowing of keys allows for the authority for Peter’s successors.

Paul fervently believed that the single state was the most preferrable vocation state to effectively promote the gospel. Marriage understandably requires attention to one’s spouse.

Through the protection of the Holy Spirit, the Catholic Church has remained in existence in spite of its sinful members of the Church.

There have been too many silent, cowardly, and indifferent clergy (cardinals, bishops, and priests) who have failed to forcefully and clearly state Church teachings and doctrine. These clergy will be judged by God for their actions and inactions.

Unfortunately too many Catholics and Christians have become “cafeteria Catholics and Christians” choosing and picking what to believe and what suits their situation.

In recent times, there have been many Protestants converting to Catholicism. These former Protestants are finding out that one must be beholden to all the tenets of Catholicism.

Traditional Catholicism holds that one must be bound to the historical understanding to the papacy. Synodality seeks to blur Church authority between clergy/laity, blur vocations/rights, and blur doctrine/sin/heresy.

In this recent Catholic rejuvenation, the younger generation, led by the Holy Spirt, are attracted to Tradition, reverence, and the TLM.

In Synodality, lived experiences are taking precedence over Church teachings. Many are not being bound my traditional Catholic teachings. Synodality (lived experiences) becomes an IDOL.

Pope Leo XIV at some point will have to address how the Church will be bound to the TLM. This has been a great source of contention and division.

I will end this post and I hope you will ponder this important question:
