[Greek] ἁρπάζω (harpazō), [Latin] rapere, [Latin] pati vim (to suffer violence): to snatch, to seize, to catch, to attack, to plunder, to gain control; 16 scriptures

Pope Gregory I Quote: “The human mind is prone to pride even when not supported by power; how much more, then, does it exalt itself when it...”

The Synodal Church===> a Church made in man’s image, lived experiences, pride, and “infinite dignity”.

Background information:

Greek Hellenism: This term means to snatch away, to carry off, to rob, to overpower, to grab, and to plunder.

Euripedes’ Andromache 661: “And, when I, in forethought for you and for me, meant to kill her, I find she is snatched from my hands.”

Xenophon’s Anabasis 6.1.8: “A robber approaches, as soon as the seaman approaches him coming, he snatches ups his arms, goes to meet him, and fight him to save his oxen.”

Aeschylus’ Seven Against Thebes 259: “In my weakness, fear controls my tongue.”

Old Testament: This term means to seize, to plunder, to take away, to tear, and to capture.

New Testament: This term means to steal away, to take, to carry off, and to snatch.

Mt.11:12: “From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent are taking it by force.”

  1. The scripture may provide several meanings.
  2. Some will enthusiastically and forcibly take the kingdom of God in a good sense.
  3. The enemies of Christ and Christians may be seen to take away the notion of the kingdom of God from those who seek it.
  4. The kingdom of heaven may be taken away and become closed to some others.

Mt.13:19: “The seed sown on the path is the one who hears the word of the kingdom without understanding it, and the evil one comes and steals away what was sown in his heart.” (This is one whose poorly formed faith becomes subject or vulnerable to the evil one’s pressure, influence, and manipulation.)

Jn.6:15: “Since Jesus knew that they were going to come and carry Him off to make Him king, He withdrew again to the mountain alone.” (Jesus fled away because He already knew that His followers also wanted Him to be a temporal king, seeking worldly and political power. His followers had it in their minds that Jesus can become the powerful king that they were longing for.)

Jn.10:28: “No one can take them [sheep] out of My hand.” (Christ’s sheep are in His hands. To be in the hands of Christ is to be high in His esteem and favor.)

Acts 8:39: “When they [Phillip and the eunuch] came out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord snatched Phillip away, and the eunuch saw him no more.” (This is not a miracle. The Spirit strongly admonished Philip to go to some other place. Phillip’s mission with the eunuch was completed.)

Acts 23:10: “The dispute was so serious that the commander, afraid that Paul would be torn to pieces by the Jews, ordered his troops to go down and take Paul into the compound.” (Paul stated that he is on trial for hope in the resurrection. Paul’s comments caused a great uproar between the Pharisees and Sadducees.)

Jd.1:23: “Save others by snatching them out of the fire; on others have mercy with fear, abhorring even the outer garments stained by flesh.”

Jude’s letter:

  1. This letter was written to warn others against false teachers and Gnostics.
  2. False teachers were seeking to worm their way into the community.
  3. The Apostles stated that scoffers will live according to their godless desires.
  4. These false teachers are the ones who cause divisions.
  5. These false teachers live on the natural plane, devoid of the Holy Spirit.
  6. Have mercy on those who waver and those who may face the fires of punishment.
  7. You are called to avoid anything that may have sin, pollution, and disease.

Two troublesome, misleading, and confusing statements from Pope Leo.

“No one should impose his or her ideas; we must all listen to one another. No one is excluded, we are called to participate.

  1. In contrast to Pope Leo’s XIII’s statement*** that there is only one Truth, stated from Catholic Church teachings. Others are NOT allowed to have their own truth.
  2. Pope Leo is implying that Truth can be disregarded or not followed.
  3. Synodality seeks to blur the lines between clergy and laity in decision-making authority, Church doctrine and teachings, vocations/”rights”, and Church organization.
  4. Synodality advocates continually seek to affirm the “Holy Spirit of Surprises” to ratify or affirm their synodal agenda. This is dangerous in that the Holy Spirit can only stand for Truth!

People want the Church doctrine to change, want attitudes to change, I think we have to change attitudes before we ever change doctrine.

  1. This is unprecedented in that Pope says that objective moral Church teachings COULD CHANGE because of peoples’ attitudes.
  2. Pope Leo is more concerned with accommodating the community’s concerns rather than with Church teachings.
  3. Pope Leo was only very happy to permit the LGBTQ Jubilee in the Vatican. Yet Pope Leo remained silent on this Church scandal and liturgical sacrilege.
  4. The Synodal Church’s outreach of tolerance, inclusion, and false compassion takes precedence over Church teachings against homosexuality (and sin).
  5. This indicates that Fr. James Martin continues to hold great influence in the Vatican.
  6. The Church’s teaching on sexual morality can be ignored or adapted to accommodate the culture.
  7. The Synodal notion of walking together, lived experiences, and shared clergy/laity decision making provide this justification for allowing for attitudes to change Church doctrine and teachings.

Why man’s “infinite dignity” is problematic?

  1. God has infinite dignity. Man does NOT have infinite dignity. Blurring this distinction only serves to elevate man toward God.
  2. This seeks to magnify the pride of man. One can easily imagine the serpent say to Adam and Eve, ‘You will be like gods [because you have infinite dignity]'”.
  3. Infinite dignity seeks to elevate less serious sin with more serious sins. Less serious sins like (poverty and exploitation) attain the same status with abortion, murder, and euthanasia.
  4. Opposition against the death penalty becomes equal to opposition against abortion. Yet the Church has historically approved of the death penalty for serious situations.
  5. A person’s “infinite dignity” often may diminish or mask the sinful and undignified acts and behavior of the person. (False compassion).
  6. When Pope Leo extolls “infinite dignity”, he first refers to immigrants, but not to citizens and their rights.
  7. The Church focusing on man’s “infinite dignity” is just another manifestation of a Synodal Church made in the image of man.

Secular humanistic movements from history: Human beings leading ethical lives and solving societal problem without relying on religious dogma and divine intervention

  1. Renaissance Humanism: reviving classical learning and shifting away from medieval religious studies toward liberal arts, individual potential, and human agency
  2. The Enlightenment: elevating the scientific method and directly challenging the political and religious authority of the Church
  3. The Ethical Culture Movement: seeking to unite the individuals on the basis of ethical living and social reform
  4. The Freethought Movement: pushing back against church control over society and advocating for secular government
  5. Modern Secular Humanism: uniting prominent scientists, philosophers, and educators to promote a scientific, rational, and compassionate world view
  6. Synodality: Lived experiences, sentiment, and perceptions take precedence over or replaces supernatural realties, Church doctrine and dogma

More humanistic aspects of Synodality: ===> more HUMAN traditions

  1. Practical atheism: paying lip service to Church teachings (doctrine), sin, and scripture
  2. Seeking to encourage laity to have decision making authority in the Church.
  3. Establishing CONTINUAL Synodal Study groups: a slippery slope to change Church teachings and doctrine.
  4. Increasing laity authority and decrease clergy authority ===> decentralizing Church authority and laity managing parishes and churches
  5. Blurring the lines between clergy/laity and vocations/rights. Continually opening the door to discussing women priests and women deacons
  6. Focusing more on MOVING WITH THE WORLD/SEEKING FAVOR WITH THE WORLD rather with BRINGING SOULS INTO HEAVEN.

Conclusion:

Rape, rapture, patience, patient, vigor

Aeschylus: fear can quite often take control over us

New Testament: Paul also mentions that he was caught up in the Rapture

Update: Prejudice, conflict, suffering, persecution, and martyrdom can become forms of taking away the kingdom of God Christians. But such suffering and martyrdom for Christ can easily open the door for salvation.

Synodal human arrogance: a Brazilian archbishop declared an automatic excommunication for a priest celebrating the TLM outside the the authorized chapel. Further marginalizing the faithful.

There has been a recent resurgence of Protestants converting to Catholicism. Many Protestants and former Protestants are taking away their earlier anti-Catholic “blinders” [prejudices and presumptions] about Catholicism.

Sign of things to come with Synodality. The German Synodal Church is “reforming” and “renewing” itself in decline and heresy. The Italian Synodal Church is unfortunately following their same path.

Many bishops are seeking to force Traditiones Custodes on the faithful because they CANNOT stop this organic movement (desire) for Tradition (which is the result of the Holy Spirit).

Synodal intentional blurring the lines between clergy/laity and vocations/”rights”

  1. Synodality continues to continually to keep open the question of womens’ “rights to become priests and deacons  (It is very telling that this issue is NOT being permanently closed.)
  2. In Spain, a woman carried the Eucharist (in the monstrance) in a procession. (This role should only be performed by clergy/man.)
  3. A German bishop of Munster, hiding his position as bishop, receives the Eucharist from a laywoman. (The German Church seeks to blur clergy/laity roles.)

Tradition and traditional Church teachings will ultimately lead to TRUE reform.

Many of the younger generations (both clergy and laity) are taking to Tradition by force, while the older generations continue to stay with modernity and Modernism. This is one of the reasons why they are implementing Traditiones Custodes.

Bishop Schneider’s criticism of Vatican II and Synodality: placing humanity at the center, diluting Jesus’ uniqueness through questionable ecumenism, many clergy seek unity of faith outside the Catholic Church

Bishop Strickland, Archbishop Vigano, Asst. Bishop Schneider, promoting traditional Catholic beliefs, are either removed from office or placed in remote position by the modern Synodal Church.

Because of the Synodal Church’s LGBTQ “outreach” and pro-LGBTQ views, many clergy and laity continue to think that homosexuality can be permissible, de-stigmatized, or even normalized. The Church’s teachings against homosexuality and sin is not being taught. Many souls will put be put in mortal peril at the judgment.

Jd. 1:23 warns against those false teachers and other teachers who focus on MAKING A BETTER WORLD/SEEKING FAVOR WITH THE WORLD rather than BRINGING SOULS INTO HEAVEN.

The dictatorship of relativism:

  1. The Canadian government are voting to approve the C-9, the “Combatting Hate Act.” Quoting scripture is now considered hateful. Christianity is now considered hateful. Let that sink in.
  2. A homosexual German priest says the bible should be read through a “queer lens.” This is a critique in how the Church marginalizes the queer person. The Church is at fault. Let that sink in.
  3. The modern idea that a woman has a right to have an abortion. The woman’s “right” of convenience takes precedence over the unborn’s rights.

The Synodal Church’s priorities: by their fruits you will know them:

  1. The Archdiocese of Milan prioritizes ecumenism and inter-religious doctrine over Catholic Church doctrine and practices.
  2. This diocese cancelled the annual Corpus Christi procession citing traffic congestion and tourists.
  3. This diocese is more concerned with unity of faith outside the Church rather than enacting a traditional Catholic practice.
  4. Pope Leo takes every opportunity he can get to focus on immigrants rather than with spiritual matters.
  5. The USCCB also focus more on immigration rather than on with spiritual matters.

*** “You are not to be looked upon as holding the true Catholic faith if you do not teach that the faith of Rome is to be held.” Pope Leo XIII

“Christ does not force our will. He takes only what we give Him. But He does not give Himself entirely until He sees that we yield ourselves entirely to Him.” St. Teresa of Avila

“We are absolute dictators in deciding whether we wish to offer our will to God. And if we turn it over to Him, He will do great things in us.” Archbishop Fulton Sheen

“The love of husband and wife is the force that welds society together.” St. John Chrysostom.

“The devil is capable of confusing the most brilliant mind.” St. Padre Pio

“Be grateful for trials and tribulations, as they force us to have recourse to the heavenly Consoler! When all is going well, we forget God; only in adversity do we seek Him for comfort.” St. Frances de Sales.
