Be Not Afraid! 30 Pictures and Quotes of JPII - Clinging to the Truth and Love of Christ - Our Hope in this Present Darkness - The Apostolate of Priestly Consecration

Christ has already defeated evil. In His Providence, God will always bring forth a greater good from evil. Evil will eventually destroy itself.

Background information:

Greek Hellenism: This term means overshooting, excess, extravagance, surpassing, pre-eminence, hyperbole, and excessive praise.

Xenophon’s Hellenica 7.3.6: “So far surpassed in boldness and villiany.”

Demosthenes’ On the Crown 18.275: “So far surpassed all mankind in savagery and malignity.

Aristophanes’ Plutus 109: “Their wickedness knows no bounds.”

Demosthenes’ On the Chersones: “Stupid beyond measure.”

Old Testament: This term means to go beyond, to surpass, to exceed, to be excessive, and to delay.

New Testament: This term means excellence, surpassing, extraordinary, beyond measure, and excess.

Rom.7:13: “Did the good, then, become death for me? Of course not! Sin, in order that it might be shown to be sin, worked death in me through the good, so that sin might become sinful beyond measure through the commandment.” (It was not the Law which leads to death and ruin. The law encourages the sin to expose itself more thoroughly. It is our corrupt nature which leads to sin. It is only through the grace of God that one can free oneself from the slavery of sin.)

1Cor.12:31: “Strive eagerly for the greatest spiritual gifts.” (We are called to covet the best gifts most useful and profitable to the Church and God. The more excellent way is the way of love.)

2Cor.1:8: “We do not want you to be unaware of the affliction that came to us in the province of Asia; we were utterly weighed down beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life.” (Paul states we must place our trust in God and that God will deliver us from these heavy afflictions.)

2Cor.4:7: “But we hold this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassing power may be of God and not from us.” (This treasure is the gospel, the knowledge of the glory of God. This great power that can be worked through us comes from the grace of God.)

2Cor.4:17: “For this momentary light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison.” (This affliction will only be “for a moment”, temporary, and light in duration compared to the eternal duration of glory. This eternal glory will outlast this temporary affliction).

Gal.1:13: “For you heard of my former way of life in Judaism, how I persecuted the Church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it.” (Saul was a rabid Pharasaic persecutor of the Christians. Saul was a zealot for his ancestral traditions.)

Martyr: A person who is killed or made to suffer because of his/her religious beliefs (or other beliefs).

The aftermath from Stephen’s martyrdom/assassination:

  1. Stephen was stoned to death (Acts 8:58-60)
  2. They were scattered by the persecution that arouse because of Stephen. (Acts 11:19)
  3. They went as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch. (Acts 11:19)
  4. The hand of the Lord was with them and a great number who believed turned to the Lord. (Acts 11:21)
  5. A large number of people was added to the Lord. (Acts 11:24)
  6. It was in Antioch that the disciples were first called Christians. (Acts 11:26)

The aftermath from Charlie Kirk’s martyrdom/assassination:

  1. Charlie Kirk was silenced for speaking out.
  2. A political awakening: many young people are heading to the Republican party.
  3. A spiritual awakening: many are going to or returning to Church.
  4. A moral awakening: many can no longer remain in a political party which espouses violence, evil thoughts, and murder.
  5. Many more are interested in joining TPUSA.
  6. Erika Kirk: “you have no idea what you have unleashed!”

Hyperbole: This is a rhetorical device or figure of speech which evokes and creates strong feelings. A hyperbole is usually not meant to be taken literally. Used for emphasis, a hyperbole can be used in the form of humor, excitement, distress, or other emotions. Essentially this idea means “throwing beyond”, “going over the top”, or “going too far”.

“Jumping the Shark”: When you know when you have gone too far.

Jumping the shark:

  1. This is a popular idiom used to describe a moment when someone (or something), that was once popular or accepted, makes a misguided attempt to generate publicity or do something new.
  2. The Happy Days’ writers evidently thought that this would be a good idea to have Fonzie ski-jump over a shark.
  3. However, this effort only served to highlight its irrelevance (or concern).
  4. This action may often lead to becoming a gimmick or absurdity.
  5. This phrase finds its ways in a wide variety of situations and contexts when someone or something “has gone too far.”

There are TOO MANY questionable examples of “jumping the shark” [going too far]:

  1. Many people, in all walks of life, have been celebrating the murder of Charlie Kirk. (This is evil and ghoulish. Many have now become famous (infamous.)
  2. Jimmy Kimmel claiming that MAGA was behind the murder of Charlie Kirk. (Even now, many people are focusing more on Jimmy Kimmel as if he is the victim.)
  3. Pope Leo: “We have to change attitudes before we ever change doctrine [on homosexuality]. (This is scandalous in thinking that Synodality (lived experiences) can change Church teachings. THIS IS SYNODALITY BECOMING AN IDOL!)
  4. Al Gore claims that President Trump is committing a “jihad” on clean energy. (This is completely tone-deaf in this time of using inflammatory language!)
  5. Bishop Francesco Savino: “Pope Leo urged me to celebrate Mass with LGBTQ Catholics”. (At the same time, Pope says silent. Silence  ===> acceptance)
  6. An ABC reporter reports on the assassin’s “loving relationship” with this transgender companion. (This is not a good look to seek to romanticize and humanize a murderer.)
  7. St. Augustine would have been appalled at the Vatican LGBTQ Jubilee. St. Augustine was clear about the MORTAL SIN OF SODOMY [HOMOSEXUALITY] in Confessions and City of God. (This clearly illustrates the Vatican’s “tolerant” and “inclusive” attitudes toward sinful behavior. The Vatican is essentially paying lip service to the Church’s teachings against homosexuality.)

Conclusion:

Hyperbole, hyperbolic, superior, super, excellent, sublime, magnitude, distinguish, distinguished, surpass

Update: Oftentimes a crisis or tragedy occurs when there is a clashing of conflicting moral cultures: Christianity vs. secularism. (Charlie Kirk is “hateful”, “divisive”, “ignorant”, and “transphobic”.)

Some, unable to successfully persuading others, may resort to more violent means to silence someone else.

USCCB continually losing the plot. They partner with the heretical AUSCP, release a DEI essay, and release a Islamaphobia document when Muslims massacre Christians.

Each of us has our own unique gifts. God can help us use these gifts to accumulate longer lasting spiritual treasures.

Andrea Grillo says that Carlo Acutis had an “embarrassing” and “infantile” Catholicism for advocating: daily Rosary, daily bible reading, Eucharist adoration, weekly Confession, and praying to one’s guardian angel. (Andrea Grillo is also “jumping the shark”. This really speaks more about Andrea Grillo’s beliefs.)

Paul reminds each of us to draw upon God during these difficulties. In many times, our relationship with God BECOMES ALL THE MORE STRONGER during struggles and difficulties.

Paul also reminds us that our time in this earthly existence is just “a drop in the bucket” in comparison to eternity with God. Our afflictions, struggles, and difficulties will in this world will pass.

We each just spend a brief period of time on this earth. It is what we do with our lives in this world that becomes important. We all can look to Charlie Kirk as an example.

God will quite often provide A GREATER GOOD to come out of evil. We are already seeing this after Charlie Kirk’s assassination ==> a spiritual awakening, political awakening, and moral awakening among many people.

Through God’s providence, a rabid Pharasaic persecutor becomes an evangelist for God. God allows Paul to do A GREATER GOOD.

God the Father sent His Son to die on the cross to redeem our fallen nature. Jesus’ dying on the cross brought forth A GREATER GOOD.

“God judged it better to bring good out of evil than to suffer not evil to exist.” St. Augustine

“Since God is the highest good, He would not allow evil to exist unless His omnipotence and goodness were such to bring good out of evil.” St. Augustine

“The enemy surrounds us, and we shall perish unless we fight. If we really fight, we are given assurance of victory.” St. Francis de Sales

“Do not be afraid, evil will destroy itself.” St. Sharbal

“He who is not angry when there is just cause for anger is immoral. Why? Because anger looks to the good of justice. And if you can live amid injustice without anger, you are immoral as well as just.” St. Thomas Aquinas.
