[Greek] μάχομαι (machomai), [Latin] litigare, [French] disputer: to quarrel, to fight, to entangle, to wage war; Jn.6:52, Acts 7:26, 2Tim.2:4, Jas.4:2

The “No Kings Protest” has become more of a psychological projection of attributing one’s own feelings that Trump is a king and dictator.
Background information:
Greek Hellenism: This term means to fight, to contend, to exert oneself, and to contend with.
Thucydides’ The Peloponnesian War 3.42: “The good citizen out to triumph not by frightening his opponents but by beating them fairly in argument; a wise city will not deprive them of their due. In this way successful orators would be least tempted to sacrifice their convictions for popularity and unsuccessful speakers resort to the same popular arts in order to win over the multitude.”
Plato’s Meno 86c: “This is a point for which I am determined to do battle, so far as I am able, both in word and deed.”
Aristophanes’ Knights 339 states “No, by Poseidon, we will fight first to see who speaks first.”
Old Testament: This term means to lay waste, to destroy, to fight, to struggle, and to wage war.
Lv.17:11: “Since the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement on the altar for yourselves, because it is the blood as life that makes atonement.” (The Jews were forbidden to drink the blood. This scripture will become a great point of contention for the Jews’ refusal to eat the Body and Blood of Jesus [in Jn.6:22-71])
Proverbs: This book warns about whom one associates with. Prov.23:1, Prov.4:14,17, Prov.23:6, Prov.9:5
New Testament: This term means to quarrel, to fight, to entangle, and to wage war.
Jn.6:52: “The Jews quarreled among the themselves, saying, ‘How can this man give us [His] flesh to eat?'”
- When Jesus starts with ‘Amen, amen, I say to you…’, Jesus will make an important statement.
- Jesus then states, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you do not have any life within you.
- Jesus is the bread that came down from heaven.
- Already accustomed to the Jewish restrictions against drinking the blood (Lv.17:11), the disciples were having difficulty accepting Jesus’ hard sayings.
- Jesus already knew that there would be many who would walk away.
- Jesus did NOT say to the disciples, “Come back, I was only speaking figuratively.“
- Jesus ask the Twelve, ‘Do you also want to leave?’
- It was then that Jesus declared that Judas was to betray Him.
Acts 7:26: “The next day Moses appeared to them as they were fighting and tried to reconcile them peacefully, saying, ‘Men, you are brothers. Why are you harming one another?'” (Stephen refers back to when the Israelites who couldn’t understand that Moses was destined to deliver them out of Egypt. Stephen points out that the Israelites remain stiff-necked and disobedient to God’s plan of liberation for them. Stephen points out that others will be disobedient about the Messiah.)
[Greek] μάχη (machē)
2Tim.2:23: “Avoid foolish and ignorant debates, for you know they breed quarrels.”
- These foolish and ignorant questions pertain to human vanity and human traditions from false teachers.
- These quarrels and conflict may lead to conflict, division, strife, estrangement disobedience, contention, and bad doctrine [heresy].
- One must impart the word of truth without deviation.
- Otherwise, their idle and profane talk will spread like gangrene.
Jas.4:1: “Where do the wars and where do the conflicts among you come from?
Causes of division:
- This comes from your passions that make war: carnal delights, worldliness, earthly riches, fame, worldly desires, sinful inclinations
- You covet from others what you do not possess.
- You ask wrongly. God promises to those who pray, not to those who fight. The petition of the lustful, murderous, and contention is not recognized by God.
- You are spiritual adulterers as you bestow your favor on the world rather than with God. You forsake God for idols.
- Being a lover of the world means enmity (hatred) toward God.
- Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
[Greek] διαμάχομαι (diamachomai)
Acts 23:9: “A great uproar occurred, and some scribes belonging to the Pharisee party stood up and sharply argued, ‘We find nothing wrong with this man. Suppose a spirit or angel has spoken to him?'”
- Paul was arrested and brought before the Sanhedrin (Pharisees and Sadducees).
- Paul states that he was on trial for hope of the resurrection of the dead.
- A dispute broke out between the Pharisees and Sadducees pertaining the resurrection of the dead.
- The Pharisees believed in the resurrection, angels, and spirits. The Sadducees did not believe in these three ideas.
- Rather than discussing Paul’s fate, the Pharisees and Sadducees argued about these theological beliefs.
- The Pharisees conflated (glossed over) Paul’s claims so that they would win a theological argument against the Sadducees.
- Paul was eventually exonerated and the Roman commander took Paul into custody.
- Jesus appeared to Paul, saying just as he bore witness to Him in Jerusalem, he must bear witness to Him in Rome.
Conflating/conflation: combining two or more separate things into one.
- The Old Testament focuses on the consequences of associating with such evil activity.
- The New Testament focuses on glossing over activity.
- Conflation involves the combining of separate ideas (or views) in a composite.
- These perceptions, sincerely held views, and assumptions may be conflated, resulting in mixed, ambiguous, or faulty views.
- From the 1600’s conflation generally meant to bring something together from various sources.
- From 1885 conflation take on an inadvertent (accidental) and confusing sense.
- Projection: the treating of what is essentially subjective as objective and external. This is attributing one’s own ideas or feelings to another person or group.
Thoughts on the “No Kings Protests”:
- Where were the young people? The vast majority of the crowds were older white people.
- The crowds were made up of pro-Hamas supporters, pro-Antifa supporters, communists, Charlie Kirk haters, “Grantifa” (Antifa supporters disguised as grandmas).
- When interviewed by reporters and journalists, they could not explain why Trump is a king or what rights have Trump have taken away from them.
- The percentage of participating blacks (African-Americans) were very low in cities like Chicago and Atlanta.
- Many of these protesters were projecting their hatred and animosity toward Trump as the rationale for these protests.
- Parents are “teaching” their children to hate Trump.
- Some have called others to kill ICE agents.
Conclusion:
Litigate, litigation, dispute
New Testament: The is the sad and tragic irony of many Jews refusing to accept Jesus. It was because of Jewish beliefs (Lv.17:11) that prevented Jews from drinking the blood. Therefore, the Jews could not accept drinking the Blood and eating the Body of Jesus. It is because of Jewish beliefs that were prevented them from attaining everlasting life from Jesus.
The Pharisees conflate Paul’s experience with their own views of the resurrection.
Update: This Catholic understanding of Jesus’ Body and Blood has been a big point of contention with other Christian churches and denominations. There are quite varying beliefs of what Communion is among different faiths.
Catholics and Christian continue to have disputes and differences pertaining to many issues. Conservatives and progressives (liberals) can also have differences in beliefs pertaining to issues.
There continues to be battles between traditionalist Catholics and liberal Catholics pertaining liturgical issues.
Why did Pope Leo and the majority of bishops did not protest the sacrilege of the LGBTQ Jubilee in Rome? Many remained silent. Silence presumes assent.
Unfortunately, the Synodal Church is too are gone in loving the world in focusing on MAKING A BETTER WORLD/SEEKING FAVOR WITH THE WORLD.
Unfortunately, the Church leadership has made their efforts known through Synodality, remaking Jesus’ Church into a Church made in the image of man and his lived experiences.
Unfortunately, the Church acts more like a United Nations NGO than a divine institution.
It is instructive to recognize that Satan possesses great powers and influences in this world. Many people are often enticed by the delights of this world, worldliness, sin, earthly riches, fame, celebrity.
Satan also seeks to undermine God’s creation, God’s laws, God’s plans for marriage and procreation, morality, and Church laws and institutions.
Satan does not need to necessarily possess you. All he needs is to make you forget about God.
These protesting Democrats and Progressive often do not realize that the Biden administration used lawfare to incriminate Trump, persecute and arrested Catholics, and called upon the media to suppress content suppression.
In America, we already have a “No Kings Day”. It is July 4th.
“Someone may be of more help through prayer, but his silence will be exploited by others who’ll say, ‘So and so did not protests, therefore he is on our side, he agrees with us.’ If someone of us do not begin to strike back at evil, to reproach those who scandalize the faithful.” St. Paisios the Athonite (We are already seeing this with bishops being silent about Church teachings.)
