[Greek] ἐπιτρέπω (epitrepō), [Latin] exire, [French] sortir, [French] partir, [Latin] permittere, [Latin] dimittere, [French] dispenser [French] admettre, [Latin] mittere, [French] jeter, [French] catapulter: to allow, to permit, to entrust, to let; 22 scriptures

We now currently live in a post-Christian secular world of inclusion, tolerance, and false compassion where sin is often tolerated, ignored, or not even recognized (by both clergy and laity.)

Background information:

Greek Hellenism: This term means to yield to, to permit, to let, to leave to, to indulge, and to rely upon.

Homer’s Odyssey 2.226: “To Mento, Odysseus had given all his house in charge.”

Aristophanes’ Plutus 1079: “With anyone but you I should not be so easy.”

Plato’s Euthyphro 5e: “That this is established and right and that we ought not to let him who acts impiously go unpunished.”

Plato’s Charmides 171e: “Nor should be we permit others under our governance to do anything but what likely to do right.”

Old Testament: This term means to loosen to relinquish, to permit, to forsake, and to abandon.

New Testament: This term means to permit and to allow.

Noteworthy scripture:

Would-be followers of Jesus: Lk.9:59,61, Mt.8:21

  1. Jesus states that Christian discipleship must take precedence over family obligations. (Jesus is intolerant in the need to do this.)
  2. Even family ties must not eclipse the obligation of proclaiming the kingdom of heaven.
  3. Jewish and Hellenistic cultures placed an extremely high importance on familial obligations.
  4. Jesus: let the spiritually dead (who do not follow Jesus) bury their dead.

Mk.5:13: “And He let them [demonic spirits and the unclean spirits], and the unclean spirits came out and entered the swine. The herd of about two thousand swine rushed down a steep bank into the sea where they were drowned.” (The herding of swine indicates that Gentiles resided in the territory of the Gerasenes.)

Mk.10:4-5: “Moses permitted him to write a bill of divorce and dismiss her. Moses wrote this because of the hardness of your hearts.” ***

Old Testament: Taking a larger “bird’s eye” view of God’s relationship with man, one can claim that God was viewing the people of the Old Testament like adolescents, LOWERING THE BAR in moral conduct.

***New Testament: Jesus RAISES THE BAR in moral conduct in referring back to God’s intended design for marriage. Jesus says to the people of the New Testament, “You now need to act like grown-ups and act accordingly.”

Jn.19:38: “Joseph of Arimathea, secretly a disciple of Jesus, asked Pilate if he could remove Jesus’ body. And Pilate permitted it.”

Acts 21:39: “Paul said, ‘I am a Jew, of Tarsus of Cilicia; I request you permit me to speak to the people.” I [Paul] request you to permit me to speak to the people.'” (Saul was his Jewish name. Paul was his Roman name.)

Acts 28:16: “When he entered Rome, Paul was allowed to live by himself [in prison] with the soldier who was guarding him.” (Paul was placed under a mild form of custody. He was allowed to proclaim the Word.)

1Cor.14:34: “As in all the churches of the holy ones, women should keep silent in the church, or they are not allowed to speak, but should be subordinate, as even the law says.” (It must be acknowledged that this was a patriarchal society. Women speaking in public was considered an act of independence. Women conducted their activities separately and privately. This was part of the traditional view that a woman was to be subject to her husband.)

The Vatican’s outreach to accommodate the LGBTQ community:

  1. In their efforts of inclusion, the Vatican is making concerted efforts to destigmatize, to normalize, and to ignore the sinful nature of homosexuality.
  2. There are also many clergy who engage in the homosexual lifestyle. This has been stated by Peter Kwasniewski, Fr. Joaquim Heimerl, among others.
  3. In addition, many clergy often “pay lip-service” to Church teachings against homosexuality. This is an aspect of practical atheism (paying lip service to God).
  4. Pope Francis and Pope Leo have made questionable appointments who have questioned Church teachings. (John Paul II Institute)
  5. Yet, they continually overlook or ignore: Jesus’ command to SIN NO MORE (Jn.8:11): “Neither do I condemn you, Go and from now on do not sin any more.”
  6. They also continually ignore that Jesus was called to come to sinners. BUT HE DID NOT TOLERATE SINFUL BEHAVIOR!
  7. Jesus exercised true compassion based on God’s moral order.
  8. Pope Francis never intended to clamp down on the German bishops’ teachings on homosexuality and gender.
  9. In an effort to accommodate the German bishops, the Vatican issued Fiducia Supplicans. This document deviously stated both Church teachings against homosexuality and provided “non-liturgical blessings” or a sinful same-sex union.
  10. Fr. James Martin actually believes that St. Paul got it wrong about the sinful nature of homosexuality. Let that sink in!
  11. The Vatican recently permitted its Vatican LGBTQ Jubilee. Not surprisingly, scandal followed.
  12. Why was Pope Leo silent about this? Because Pope allowed Bishop Savino to celebrate this mass. Evidently, it is not good optics to publicly criticize an event you will be had previously allowed.
  13. Not surprisingly, only a few clergy offered a Mass of reparations for this scandalous event. As you can see, Pope Leo is also part of this problem.
  14. A scandalous confirmation, led by Fr. James Martin was held in Manhattan New York. Evidently, Cardinal Dolan has remained quiet about this? Shocker!
  15. Bishop Strickland pleaded with this brother bishops at the USCCB. Not surprisingly, his pleas were ignored. These bishops are evidently fearful or afraid in criticizing the LGBTQ community.
  16. The USCCB just recently approved a “LGBTQ friendly” bible. This is seeking to whitewash or de-stigmatize the sin of homosexuality to make it more publicly acceptable.

Catholic sociologist Gabriele Kuby’s criticism of the German bishops:

  1. “A great apostasy” is happening in the German Church.
  2. The German Episcopal Conference encourages defining one’s sexual identity and stipulates that Catholic sexual morality is an disputed issue.
  3. Kuby denounces this doctrinal drift as a lack of correction from the Vatican toward the German bishops.
  4. These German bishops are not safeguarding traditional Catholic doctrine
  5. Catholic schools are being forced to adopt LGBTQ agenda and gender ideology.
  6. Pope Francis never intended to intervene or dismantle the German bishops’ teaching on sexuality and marriage.
  7. This has caused devastating consequences for young people: depression, body mutilation, confusion, and the family breakdown
  8. Kuby sees hope as there is a new discipleship that is emerging, formed by prayer, Scripture, spiritual renewal, and Catholic formation.

Catholic psychiatrist Conrad Baars explaining false compassion:

“A person in authority who deprives his subjects of the truth when he says, even with the best intention of helping them, ‘You may ignore the teachings of the Magisterium: God’s laws are too hard for you.’ By that he says in effect, ‘You are not and never will be strong and good enough to adhere to these laws.”  (One wonders if this message is being disseminated to the LGBTQ community.)

Should women be allowed to have greater responsibility in the Church?

Traditional Catholic view: Men’s and women’s vocations are assigned by God and the Church. Men ==> priests [in the person of Christ] and deacons. Women ==> nuns, sister, consecrated

Synodal (political view): Vocations are assigned by political rights. There must be equal gender equality in Church leadership positions. Women should have the opportunity to become priests and deacons. Mens’ and womens’ vocations are assigned by man. One can only wonder if they think God or the Church is misogynistic?? The Synod is still studying the idea of women deacons. But THIS IS NOT CATHOLIC!

[Greek] τροπή (tropē), [Latin] trophaeum: a turning, trophy, revolution, or change; Jas 1:17

In 102 A.D. the Roman emperor Trajan erected the monument Trophaeum (Traiani) commemorating the victory (turning point) over the Dacians.

Jas.1:17: “All good giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no alteration) or shadow caused by change [turning].” (Unlike the heavenly bodies, God is immutably constant, good, and unchanging.)

Trope: This is a figure of speech used for artistic effect.  Ex. Achilles’ heal ==> weak spot

Tropaion/trophaeum: A monument was often erected to designate a turning point in a battle. The circumstances of this event have often defined by the victor.

Conclusion:

Permit, permission, admit, admission, mission, catapult, exit, sort, part, dispense, reject, rejection, sortie, resort

It was commonly thought that the gods controlled one’s fate and destiny.

Update: It is important not to allow others to deny and obliterate one’s understanding of our country. Orwell was very prophetic about hate speech, cancel culture, and others’ naive understanding of history.

Many people, Christians and non-Christians, who do not accept or tolerate others’ values (and behaviors), are now often being perceived as intolerant, hateful, and extreme. (Those who accuse others of being intolerant are actually the ones who are being intolerant! (like those criticizing American Eagle and Sydney Sweeney)

In Germany, a Catholic priest was put on trial for hate speech because he condemned homosexuality (which is actual Church teachings!). It seems that the German clergy are really now promoting homosexuality as an acceptable behavior. Very alarming!

Synodality is essentially LOWERING THE BAR to adherence to Catholic teaching. Synodality is becoming a new religion focusing on “making a better world” and SEEKING FAVOR WITH THE WORLD. Synodality is becoming a new religion.

If you assume that Catholics and Christians are intolerant, hateful, and extreme, they get their moral belief systems from God. Taking this notion to its inevitable conclusion, then one must conclude that God MUST BE INTOLERANT, HATEFUL, AND EXTREME! (Good luck with supporting this view!)

We now need leaders and shepherds that show TRUE COMPASSION in pointing out what is morally right and wrong. One’s eternal (spiritual) welfare could be at stake!

Charlie Kirk, a Christian, has stated that young men are attracted to the Catholic Church because it is ancient, beautiful and UNCHANGING.

Quotes by GK Chesterton who has often be called the “apostle of common sense”:

Quotes on tolerance:

“The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history.” George Orwell

“In a time of deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.” George Orwell

“Tolerance is not a Christian value. Tolerating grave evil within a society is itself a form of serious evil.” Archbishop Chaput

“Tolerance applies only to persons, but never to principles. Intolerance apply to principles, but never to persons.” Bishop Fulton Sheen   (The Church should and must show intolerance in being constant in its teachings.)

“We do not want a church that moves with the world. We want a church that moves the world.” GK Chesterton

“Societies are far gone in depravity when toleration is considered a good in itself, without regard to the thing tolerated.” GK Chesterton
