[Greek] ἀπάτη (apatē), [Latin] fallacia, [Latin] deceptio, [Latin] error, [Latin] seductio: deception delusion, deceit; Mt.13:22, Mk.4:19, Eph.4:22, Col.2:8, 2Thess.2:10, Heb.3:13, 2Pet.2:13

In contrast to what Vatican II actually stated, the Modernists deceptively now claim that the Traditional Latin Mass is not compatible with Church ecclesiology. These Modernists claim that having both the TLM and Novus Order Mass is “divisive”.
Background information:
Sophocles’ Oedipus at Colonus 230: “Deceit on the part matches deceit on the other, and gives pain instead of pleasure for reward.”
Sophocles’ Antigone 617: “The deception comes to one who is wholly unaware until he burns his foot on a hot fire.”
Plato’s Laws 9.864: The other acts ae done privily under cover of darkness and deceit.”
New Testament: This term means lure, deceit, and deception.
Scripture:
Mt.13:22: “The seed sown among thorns is the one who hears the word, but worldly anxiety and the lure of riches choke the word and it bears no fruit.” (The seduction and deceitfulness of riches lead persons away from God, to err in their faith. Worldly (earthly) riches quite often do not offer the satisfaction they promise. There is no deception in riches of grace and glory.)
Seed sown on the path: one who hears the word of the kingdom without understanding it.
Seed sown on rocky ground: one who hears and receives it with great joy. But he has no root and the joy lasts only for a time.
Seed sown among thorns: one who hears the word, but then worldly anxiety and the lure of riches choke the word and it bears no fruit.
The evil one: who steals what is sown in one’s heart.
Thorns: earthly riches, persecution, worldly pleasures, cowardice, fearfulness of offending others, anxieties, false teachings, and ignorance
Lure (deceit) of riches: counterfeit of the soul, untruthfulness, unfulfilled promise, dissatisfaction, causes for going astray, worldly values and sin, temporary effects, unfruitfulness, enticement to sin (by Satan).
Eph.4:22: Put away the old self of your former way of life, corrupted through deceitful desires. (Paul was alluding to the Ephesians’ former self lifestyle which engaged in paganism, worldliness, and sin. This results in darkened understanding [in moral truths], alienation from God, ignorance, hardness of heart, callousness, and licentiousness.)
Col. 2:8: “See to it that no one captivate you with an empty, seductive philosophy, according to human tradition, according to elemental powers of the world.”
Seductive philosophies (human traditions): human wisdom (deceit) and knowledge, lived experiences, “making a better world”, worldliness, and syncretism (mixture of faith and worldly values, paganism, and sin)
Christianity: Christianity is not a philosophy, but a life of a personal knowledge of faith and love of God in Christ
Heb. 3:13: “Encourage yourselves daily while it is still “today”, so that you may not grow hardened by the deceit of sin.”
Grow hardened (in mind, conscience, and heart):
- Become less sensitive and receptive to understanding moral issues
- Become blinded by sin (by Satan)
- Become adverse to the gospel message
- Become prideful (not humble)
- Become rebellious with unbelief
2 Pet.2:13: “[False teachers] suffering wrong as payment for wrongdoing. Thinking daytime revelry a delight, they are stains and defilements as they revel in the deceits while carousing with you.”
False teachers denounced:
- Impure seducers and their abandoned followers give themselves to their fleshy impulses.
- They show contempt for obedience of Christ and righteous precepts.
- They despise those in authority [sent by God] who seek to correct them.
- They seduce unstable people.
- They have abandoned the straight road, for they have gone astray.
- They have followed the path of Balaam, who loved payment for wrongdoing.
- In their destruction they will also be destroyed.
Modern human traditions:
- Vatican II: bringing in “fresh air” (worldliness) and “smoke [of Satan]” (liturgical confusion and ambiguity) into the Church
- Universalism, hyper-papalism, relativism, worldliness, materialism
- Practical atheism (paying lip-service to God): minimizing and ignoring Church teachings, ignoring, redefining, and destigmatizing sin.
- Modernism: subjectively finding an explanation for religion inside oneself (sentiment, perceptions, and experiences)
- Synodality; doubling down on what Vatican II has caused (MORE CONFUSION AND AMBIGUITY). Synodality (lived experiences) taking precedence over Church teachings becomes an IDOL.
Quotes on deception:
Cardinal Cupic: “Pope Francis’s Latin Mass reforms are necessary to secure Vatican II’s legacy.” (Vatican II’s legacy has become liturgical confusion, declining vocations, poor catechesis, church closings, liturgical sacrilege, diminished respect for sacraments. It seems that Pope Francis intends to double-down on this??)
Pope Francis: “Without liturgical reform, there is no reform of the Church.” (This “reform” is essentially dividing and tearing the Church down. Pope Francis is essentially “reforming” Jesus Church (in the image of man) into something that is looking less and less like Catholic.)
Cardinal Cupic: “The Traditional Latin Mass impoverishes the Church.” (This cardinal makes this statement while Church attendance continues to decline at Novus Order Masses and Church closings continue. Efforts are now being made to clamp down on the Traditional Latin Masses, where Church attendance has been thriving.)
Archbishop Bugnini: “We must strip from our Catholic prayers and from the Catholic liturgy everything which can be a shadow of a stumbling block for Protestants.” (What better way to destroy Jesus’ Church by continually to “Protestantize” it.)
Why is Mass attendance declining after Vatican II?
- What caused this problem? (The Modernists at Vatican II naively thought that “we needed to bring fresh air into the Church.” This was how the Novus Order Mass started.)
- What happened as a result of Vatican II? (Liturgical confusion (chaos), declining vocations, clerical sexual abuse scandal, poor catechesis, liturgical sacrilege, declining Mass attendance, churches closing, etc.)
- What has been the bright spot of encouragement in all of this? (The Traditional Latin Mass continues to attract and inspire the faithful. The TLM continues to thrive.)
- How do Modernists seek to “reform” the liturgy? (They are using Traditionis Custodies to restrict and remove the TLM because it impoverishes??)
- What has been the results of Pope Francis’ further efforts to “reform” and “renew” the Church? (FURTHER LITURGICAL CONFUSION, AMBIGUITY, AND CHAOS.)
- What have the German bishops done? (They are “reforming” and “renewing” the German Church into heresy and decline.)
- What will this accomplish? (This will do nothing to stop the “spiritual bleeding” [declining Mass attendance and churches closing] in the Church and also hinder the TLM in the Church.)
- What will Modernists do next? (They will seek again to “reform” and “renew” the Church ==> rinse and repeat.). They will also refuse to acknowledge that Tradition is true reform and renewal.)
- Why is this circular reasoning like insanity? (This is likened to Albert Einstein’s quote: “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again.”)
Hard-heartedness of the Vatican and clergy:
- Cardinal Roche and others have ARROGANTLY concluded that the Church’s ecclesiology has changed. The Tradition Latin Mass must go way.
- These clergy are more concerned with promoting their Modernist and Synodalist ideology than considered considering the concerns of Catholic parishioners.
- Bishop Michael Martin and others misleadingly claim that the authority of restricting the TLM comes from Vatican II.
- Some priests get offended when some people get on their knees to receive the Eucharist.
Conclusion:
It is true that one can be lured and deluded by the effects of worldly riches.
The evil one may steal one’s moral compass (conscience), potentially leading one down an unfortunate and sinful path.
Update: There are many Catholics and Christians whose faith has been destroyed by the culture. These forces often led them to lose their faith, because they did not have a solid foundation in their faith.
Many Catholics, bombarded by many societal pressures, are experiencing an epidemic of purposelessness in their lives.
However, the younger people are leading a Holy-Spirit guided Catholic rejuvenation in seeking to find meaning and purpose in their lives. They are tired of the shallowness, emptiness, and counterfeits that the world offers.
Like the Ephesians, many of us have become like little pagans bowing down to our gods. Such gods included cellphones, fame, fortune, celebrity, wealth, power, like, and money. Many of us are literally bowing down to our electronic devices.
Synodality has become a seductive, appealing, and worldly human tradition which actually undermines Jesus’ Church structure.
Synodality seeks to decentralize and blur clergy/laity authority and decision making authority. Giving this authority to the poorly catechized Catholics– what could possibly go wrong with this?
Too many clergy have become “hard-hearted” in promoting their Modern/Synodalist theology at the expense of Catholic parishioners’ desires and wishes. The TLM and other traditional practices continued to be suppress and restricted.
We have too many silent, cowardly, and indifferent clergy who ignore, refute, deny, or pay lip service to Church teachings. These clergy will ultimately be judged by their actions and inactions before God. Fr. James Martin is an example of a priest who approves and promotes homosexuality as an acceptable lifestyle.
From Pope Benedict XVI’ Faith and Future (1971):
“Soon we will have priests reduced to the role of social worker and the message of faith reduced to political views.” (Yet we now have a synodal Church who seem to be more focused on “making a better world” rather than focusing on the salvation of souls.)
“The rebirth [of the Church] will be the work of a small seemingly insignificant yet indomitable remnant that has gone through a process of purification. That is how God works.” (Now we have a Holy-Spirit inspired Catholic rejuvenation led by the young people (clergy and laity) who are attracted to Tradition, reverence, and moral clarity in doctrine and church teachings.)
The deceptions of Fr. James Martin:
- Fr. James Martin believes that God is not opposed to gay marriage or divorce.
- Fr. James Martin believes that the Church should be “more inclusive” to LGBT-identifying people. (FALSE COMPASSION: the Church accepting and tolerating their sinful lifestyle. This permissiveness and tolerance is actually putting mortal souls in eternal peril. TRUE COMPASSION: stating Church teachings against homosexuality, calling for conversion of heart and forgiveness.)
- Other deceptions: Fr. James Martin equates homosexual parenting to the Holy Trinity.
- Fr. James Martin equates LGBTQ books to parables of Jesus
The deceptions of Pope Francis:
- Pope Francis’ Amoris Laetitia allowed for divorced and remarried individuals to receive Communion. (Pope Francis’ mercy continued to “push the doctrinal envelope” into heterodox teachings, and heresy.)
- Pope Francis and others created a false narrative that the Traditional Latin Mass NOT popular among the bishops. (Shocker! This also further provided the rationale for spreading their Modernist ideology.)
- Pope Francis’ Fiducia Supplicans allowed for blessings for “irregular couples” [individuals, but not the union]. (This is both intentionally evil and deceitful. Again, Pope Francis seeks to be ‘merciful’.)
- My personal opinion: Pope Francis will judged very harshly by God for permitting such great confusion, ambiguity, and chaos during his papacy! This has caused great harm and damage to the Church!
