Herodotus’ The Histories 5.72: “He went up to acropolis with the intention of taking possession of it.”

Herodotus’ The Histories 1.29: “For they were bound by solemn law to abide for ten years by whatever laws Solon should make.”

Sophocles’ Trachinae 249: “Most of that time he was held in Lydia, not free but sold in servitude.”

New Testament: This term means to acquire, to prevent, to restrain, take hold, to have, to hold fast, and to hand on.

Lk.8:15: “But as for the seed that fell on rich soil, they are the ones who, when they have heard the word, embrace it (hold it) with a generous and good heart, and bear fruit through perseverance.” (The Parable of the Sower illustrates the seed (word of God) which takes root. This person’s faith bears fruit during trials.)

Lk.14:9: “‘Give your place to this man, and then you would proceed with embarrassment to take the lowest place.” (Jesus teaches about humility. Rather, one must first go and take the lowest seat. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled. Everyone who humbles himself will be exalted.)

Rom.1:18: “The wrath of God is indeed being revealed from heaven against every impiety and wickedness of those who suppress the truth of their wickedness.” (Paul makes references to the punishment of idolaters. There is a close relationship with idolatry and immorality. God’s wrath goes into action at each present moment in human history.)

Rom.7:6: “But now we are released from the law, dead to what held us captive, so that we may serve in the newness of the spirit and not under the obsolete letter.” (The law binds the living. Christians are freed from the law that leads to transgressions, which lead to death. Christians are joined to Christ to bear the fruit of the newness of life for God.)

1Thess.5:21-22: “Test everything; retain what is good. Refrain from every kind of evil.” (One must carefully examine what is presented to you. This evil can pertain to morality, Church doctrine (teachings), lack of devotion, scandal, and heresy.)

1Cor.11:2: “Hold fast to the traditions, just as I [Paul] handed them on to you.” (Paul calls upon others to uphold the oral traditions which is handed down to them. What was known as scripture was referred to the Old Testament. The New Testament canon had not yet been formulated at this time.)

Oral tradition: The early Church began to initiate the oral transmission of the faith. The only scriptures in existence were the Old Testament. There was no defined or established scripture regarding the New Testament. Traditores were those early Christians who willingly handed over their bible to the authorities.

Accommodating the culture (failing to upholding the teachings of the Apostles):

  1. Council of Nicaea: the Emperor wanted the bishops to compromise in the interests of achieving “unity” in the Church. The council tacitly approved of Arianism. Athanasius, upholding traditional Church teachings, was excommunicated.
  2. Mid 20th century: many Church leaders relented to the errors of secularism, “enlightenment thought”, and theistic evolution.
  3. Theistic evolution: science replaced Scripture and Tradition as the primary revealer of God, faith, and morals.
  4. Vatican II: Church leaders advocated for bringing the Church into the world so that the Church “can get with the times.” How has that been working out?
  5. Synodality: Jesus’ Church is now being remade into the image of man and his lived experiences, paying lip service to traditional Church teachings on homosexuality.
  6. Synodality: Lived experiences, accompaniment, tolerance, and inclusion take precedence or Church teachings and Truth. Synodality becomes an IDOL! There is no conversion.
  7. Bishop Eleganti claims that society continues to hold on worldly and demonic influences: relativism, violence, racism, terrorism, political activism (violence), abortion, warmongering, materialism, fame, celebrity, tolerance, inclusion, and practical atheism (paying lip service to God). Satan only needs to distract us from God.
  8. Several bishops are continuing to hold on to Traditiones Custodes in suppressing the TLM. This Modernist and Synodalist ideology claims that having both the TLM and NOM is “divisive”.
  9. Several bishops are making efforts to discourage kneeling to receive Communion and altar rails.

Bishop Eleganti: “The Elephant in the Room” (Many clergy continue to hold on to homosexuality):

  1. The Church states that the acting out of disordered homosexuality tendencies is a sin.
  2. If we do not address the real problem (homosexuality in the clergy), we will never solve this problem.
  3. Left-wing concepts of gender equality and sexual orientation have also influenced the Church.
  4. The Church’s teachings on homosexuality remains unchanged and are based on Scripture and tradition.
  5. Homosexuality contradicts man and woman being complementary in becoming one flesh.
  6. There are powerful forces within the Church that are attempting to normalize homosexuality according to secular standards.
  7. There are many clergy who live in this homosexual lifestyle.
  8. There are many clergy who pay lip service or ignore Church teaching against homosexuality.
  9. There are many clergy who keep quiet about scandals regarding homosexuality. (LGBTQ Jubilee in the Vatican)

Conclusion:

Habit, habitation, requirement, require, retain, tenure, tenant, possible, detain, trader, traitor, beware, arrest, guard, preserve, bar, exclaim, glorify, magnify

Update: These worldly and demonic influences are encroaching upon a sleepy and indifferent Christianity. However, there continues a Catholic rejuvenation among the young people.

Uninformed cradle Catholics continually leave the Church, while informed and devout Protestants continually enter the Church.

In light of Charlie Kirk’s assassination (martyrdom), many young people are finding, discovering, finding their faith during these time of confusion and evil in the world.

The Vatican is accommodating Moslems in allowing prayer rugs in the Vatican library. The Vatican is more accommodating to Moslems than to Tradition.

Becoming a worldly Church: Vocations are now being considered as political rights.

There continues a generational battle between the older Modernist, liberal, and progressive clergy who support Vatican II and Synodality and the younger clergy who support Tradition. This Holy-Spirit inspired lay movement has occurred in response against the confusion and ambiguity caused by the Church leadership.

Liberal and progressive Catholic communities continue to hold LGBTQ Pride Masses with liturgical sacrilege. This continues in despite of the Church’s teachings against the homosexual lifestyle.

Our society unfortunately continues to be taken hold by a culture of death, secularism, materialism, relativism, worldliness, racism, and anti-Semitism.

The diocese of Cleveland granted a two-year extension of the TLM, provided that the laity be re-educated by “by how great the Novus Order Mass is”. The Modernists and Synodalists are holding on to their animosity toward Tradition.

Bishop Weisenberger of Detroit is suppressing the TLM, decimating 10 TLM communities.

Bishop Martin of Charlotte admitted that he purposely approved building a small venue for the TLM.  This bishop’s hard-heartedness is plain to see.

“Hold your eyes on God and leave the doing to Him. That is all the doing you have to worry about.” St. Jane Frances de Chantal

“You are surprised that the world is losing its grip? That the world is grown old? Don’t hold on to the old hold man, the world.” St. Augustine

“Tradition means giving votes to the most obscure of all classes, our ancestors. It is the democracy of the dead.” GK Chesterton

“Right is right even if nobody does it. Wrong is wrong even if everybody is wrong about it.” GK Chesterton
