[Greek] ἀντιλέγω (antilegō), [Latin] contradicere, [Latin] negare, [French] contester: to oppose, to dispute, to speak against, to deny, to contradict, to counteract; Lk.2:34, Lk.20:27, Jn.19:12, Acts 13:45, Acts 28:19,22, Rom.10:21, Tit.1:9, Tit.2:9
Outside the Church there is no salvation: Yet Vatican II and Synodality, engaging in questionable ecumenical efforts, continue to contradict this dogma.
Background information:
Greek Hellenism: This term means to speak against, to contradict, to tell a tale in reply, and to dispute.
Euripides’ Hippolytus 993: “I shall begin to speak from the point where you first attacked me expecting you would destroy me with not a word to say in reply.”
Xenophon’s Memorabilia 4.6.13: “Whenever anyone argued with him on any point without being able to make himself clear, he would lead the whole discussion back to the definition required.
Aristophanes’ Lysistrata 806: “Well, I’ll relate a rival fable just to show you a different point of view.”
Old Testament: This term means to go back, to retreat, to apostatize, to contend, to backslide, to turn away, to make a complaint, to be adversarial, and to make a complaint.
Lk.2:34: “Simeon blessed them and said to Mary His mother, ‘Behold, this child is destined for the fall and rise of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be contradicted.'” (Jesus will cause some to fall (stumble) and some to rise (be saved). This passage refers to Isaiah prophesying that the Messiah will be a snare and stumbling block for those who cannot accept Him. [Isa. 8:14] Jesus will be an object of contempt and rejection by many people.)
Lk.20:27: “Some Sadducees, those who deny that there is a resurrection, came forward and put a question to Him.” (The Sadducees accepted as scripture only the first five books of the Old Testament. They rejected the oral legal traditions, opposed the resurrection of the dead, and opposed to teachings not found in the Pentateuch.)
Lk.21:15: “For I myself shall give you a wisdom in speaking that all your adversaries will be powerless to refute and overcome objections.” (You will be given a means of speaking, expression, and utterance to respond back. The Holy Spirit will provide (teach) you wisdom at that moment to refute your adversary [Lk.12:11-12])
Acts 28:22: “But we should like to hear you present your views, for we know that this sect is denounced everywhere.” (As a Jew, the Romans were interested in hearing Paul’s views. The new Christians were perceived as a sect (heresy) being in opposition to the Jews. The Christians often had to hide from the authorities for fear of reprisal or persecution.)
Rom.10:21: “But regarding Israel he says, ‘All day long I stretched out my hands to a disobedient and contentious people.”” (It was necessary that the word of God be spoken first to the Jews, but they rejected this message of salvation. The gospel had been sufficiently proclaimed to Israel, but willful and disobedience prevented this.)
Tit.1:9: “[A bishop as God’s steward] holding fasts to the true message as taught so that he will be able to exhort with sound doctrine and to refute opponents.” (Paul instructs Titus to appoint upright, blameless, just, holy, and self-controlled presbyters holding fast to sound doctrine. The presbyter is called to teach and encourage the faithful. The presbyter is also called to refute and to persuasively convince opponents and adversaries.)
[Greek] ἀντιλογία (antilogia)
Heb.12:3: “Consider how He endured such opposition from sinners, in order that you may not grow weary and lose heart.” (Jesus had to endure the cross [like a slave] before receiving the glory of His triumph. Jesus provides us encouragement as we undergo difficulties and struggles. Some are even called to share in His sufferings.)
Pope Gregory XVI’s Encyclical Mirari Vos (1832): refuting the need for a human restoration of the Church ===> refuting Vatican II and Synodality!
“All truth was daily taught it by the inspiration of the Holy Ghost. It is obviously absurd and injurious to propose a certain restoration or regeneration for her [the Church] as though necessary for her safety and health, as is she could be considered subject to defect or other misfortune. These authors of novelties consider that a foundation may be laid of a human institution. That what was a divine thing may become a human church.”
- Jesus’ Church is a divine institution under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. There was NO need to change Jesus’ Church to accommodate the world.
- It is absurd for to consider the need for human restoration or contradiction of Church teachings. These are essentially HUMAN TRADITIONS.
- This encyclical repudiates the notion of creating a synodal man-made Church made in the image of man and his lived experiences.
- What has been the result of Vatican II and Synodality? a Church being filled with worldliness and the “smoke of Satan” [the spirit of undermining within clergy and laity].
- CONCLUSION: Great harm has been done to the Church! Archbishop Lefebvre was right all along: Tradition will provide TRUE REFORM and TRUE RENEWAL for the Church!
- Vatican II has essentially undermined the idea of keeping the Church separate from the world.
Pope Leo’s curious statement: “The supreme rule in the Church is love.” (This contracts Canon Law)
- The supreme law of the Catholic Church is the SALVATION OF SOULS (as stated in Canon 1752 in the 1983 Code of Canon Law.
- As a canon lawyer, it is VERY PERPLEXING that Pope Leo would not know this.
- It seems that Pope Leo’s synodal mindset focuses more on MAKING A BETTER WORLD and SEEKING FAVOR WITH THE WORLD contradicting Canon Law.
- In this synodal Church, it is evident that there is NO FOCUS ON BRINGING SOULS INTO HEAVEN AND NO MENTION OF THE CONSEQUENCES OF SIN.
- There is no emphasis on forgiveness, conversion of heart, and sin. There is NO MENTION of the Church’s teachings against homosexuality.
- There is more focus on tolerance, inclusion, false compassion, and “mercy above all else.“
Modernists’ antipathy and opposition against Tradition: (adapting to the world and culture):
- Share decision making authority between clergy and laity. (Giving poorly catechized laity decision-making authority? What could ever possibly go wrong with this??)
- Ignoring and diminishing the importance of Jesus’ command to sin no more (Jn.8:11): focusing on “mercy above all else”
- Synodal path: remaking Jesus’ Church in a synodal Church (in the image of man and his lived experiences).
- They are “keeping the door open on” women deacons: because women’s right’s have been disenfranchised and confusion of rights/vocations.
- The Tradition Latin Mass (TLM) is now considered as divisive because it competes with the Novus Order Mass (and new Church ecclesiology). Therefore, the TLM must go!
- Cardinal Cupic believes that the Traditional Latin Mass impoverishes and creates a spectacle in the church?? He says this while the Novus Order Masses attendance is dwindling and churches are closing. (What world (reality) is he living in? This cardinal is blinded by his own Synodal ideology.)
- As the older progressive clergy continue to retire and die out, the Vatican seeks to push Synodality as a way to promote their Modernist ideology.
- Perhaps Traditiones Custodes is the only remaining “tool in the box” the have to attempt to counter the Holy Spirit inspired organic movement back to Tradition.
Conclusion:
Contradict, contradiction, negate, negation, antilog
New Testament: Jesus’ statements (commandments) to sin no more (Jn.8:11-12) has become a sign of contradiction (stumbling block) for the Synodal Church. Sin forgiveness, and conversion of heart is rarely mentioned. More focus is being given to lived experiences, inclusion, tolerance, and false compassion.
Pope Leo gets political:
- Pope Leo meets with President Obama’s political advisor David Axelrod (who is not Catholic).
- Pope Leo continues to insert himself in criticizing President Trump’s immigration policy.
- Pope Leo is accused of inventing a politicized biblical quote that Jesus would supposedly say. (Why would Jesus even talk about military, economic, and political matters?)
- Pope Leo, in his earlier ministry, joined a communist march against President Reagan.
- One wonders if Pope Leo was elected by the cardinals to become a political foil to President Trump.
Update: 37th World Youth Day [Lisbon, Portugal]: Cardinal Auguiar: “We don’t want to convert the young people to Christ or the Catholic Church or anything like that at all.” (God forbid that we seek to convince others to be Catholic or make disciples of all nations!)
Opposing, denying, or paying lip service to Church teachings against homosexuality: many are not told and many souls will be put in eternal mortal peril.
Marginalizing and denying the laity’s desire to celebrate the TLM: many emboldened bishops (with the support of the Vatican) continue to implement Traditiones Custodes
2009 USCCB press release: “Apathy and proselytism are opposed to unity. Proselytism, or the deliberate targeting of another Christian or group of Christians for the sole purpose of getting them to reject their church to join another, is NOT allowed.” (The USCCB are evidently more concerned about unity rather than encouraging others to become Catholic! Let that sink in.)
Contradicting Church teachings: Brazilian bishop Lisboa de Oliveira dismisses Eucharistic adoration. This is a Synodal mindset reducing religion (doctrine) to one’s own lived experiences and religious sentiment.
Many had thought that Pope Leo would be a different pope who would oppose or undo Pope Leo’s actions. However, we are seeing that Pope Leo is following in Pope Francis’ footsteps. It is becoming more difficult for the “pope-splainers” to refute this.
Why are young men, but not young women, going (going back) to Church?
- The toxic political and secular culture: criticizing and marginalizing masculinity
- The Church: promotes traditional masculinity and traditional femininity
- More more young women: continue to uphold modern femininity and feminism
- Some young women: are becoming attracted to traditional femininity
Deacon Solari: “The liturgy is always political.” (This is classic Modernist and Synodalist thinking in that we must now conform how we worship to the standards of the world.)
Refuting German Synodal vitality: there were only 29 ordinations for Germany. The German Synodal Church is “renewing” and “reforming” itself into decline and heresy.
Tradition provides TRUE RENEWAL and TRUE REFORM for the Church.
Too many pro-LGBTQ bishops continue to spout the narrative that Catholic Church teachings marginalizes the LGBTQ community.
“Each generation is converted by the saint who contradict it most. ” GK Chesterton (Archbishop Lefebvre already foresaw the problems that would come from Vatican II. Could he become a future saint?)
“False compassion, which is growing in this country, is a pity that is not shown to the mugged but to the mugger, not to the family of the murdered but to the murderer.” Archbishop Sheen
“The sin of this century is the loss of the sense of sin.” Pope Pius XII
