Greek Hellenism: This term means to separate, to part, to join others, to set apart, to distinguish, to decide, to consult (the birds), to doubt, to hesitate, and to waver.

Homer’s Odyssey 8.195: “Even, a blind man could distinguish this mark, groping it with his hands.”

Herodotus’ The Histories 1.11: “Now, Gyges, you have two ways before you decide which you will follow.”

Aristophanes’ Birds 719: “Before undertaking anything, you consult the birds by reading the omens, and you give this name of omen to all signs that tell of the future.”

Plato’s Philebus 46b: “Protarchus, we can probably never settle the point at issue.”

Old Testament: This term means to judge, to examine, to litigate, to separate, to distinguish, to contend, to choose, and to litigate. Willful rejection rather than doubt plays an important in man’s relationship with God.

New Testament: This term means to judge, to doubt (waver), to confront, to discriminate, to distinguish, distinction, and to discern. Sometimes it is often difficult to make the “distinction” between these meanings. (Sorry for the pun–just couldn’t resist) ☺☺☺

Mt.16:3: “You [Pharisees and Sadducees] know how to judge the appearance of the sky, but you cannot judge the sign of the times.” (Jesus criticizes them for not understanding the indications of the coming kingdom in the signs of Jesus. Evil and unfaithful generations, breaking the covenantal relationship with God, engage in spiritual adultery.** They demand a sign.)

Mt.21:21-22: “Jesus said to them in reply, ‘Amen, I say to you, if you have faith and do not waver [doubt], not only will you do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea’, it will be done.” (The cursing of the fig tree represents hypocrisy. The fig tree represents the Jewish people’s blindness and hard-heartedness. If you have faith, you should be able to perform much more difficult things.)

Acts 11:12: “The Spirit told me [Peter] to accompany them without discriminating. These six brother also went with me, and we entered the man’s house.” (The Holy Spirit inspired Peter to set aside the legal barriers between the Jews and Gentiles. This was an indication that the gospel message was also to be given to the Gentiles.)

1Cor.4:6-7: “So that you may learn from us [Paul and Apollos] not to go beyond what is written, so that you may not be inflated with pride. Who confers distinction (knowing better) upon you? What do you possess that you have not received?” (Paul warns the Corinthians to avoid the false wisdom of vain speculation and puffed up arrogance. Paul asks who has conferred this distinction upon the Corinthians. Why are the Corinthians boasting?)

1Cor.11:29: “For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body, eats and drinks judgment on himself.” (Improperly eating and drinking the Body and Blood of the Lord unworthily (without discernment) will bring upon judgment upon oneself. One must understand the meaning of Jesus’ intentions and His death. To do otherwise, one will be guilty of a sin against the Lord Himself.)

Jas.1:6: “But he should ask in faith, not doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed about by the wind.”

Perseverance in trials: Jas.1:1-8

1. Consider it all joy when you encounter various trials.
2. For you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
3. Let that perseverance be perfect, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
4. If you lack wisdom, ask God who gives generously.
5. But one should act in faith, not doubting.
6. The one who doubts (divided) is like a wave that is driven and tossed by the wind.
7. This person is divided (between God and himself).

Distinctions (differences) between Jesus’ Church and the Synodal Church:

1. The traditional Catholic Church is made in Jesus’ image. The Synodal Church is being remade in the image of man and his lived experiences.
2. Jesus’ Church has defined roles for the clergy and laity (CENTRALIZED authority).  The Synodal Church continues to redefine and blur vocations and “rights”.
3. The Synodal Church continues to allow for shared clergy/laity decision making in references to Church doctrine, teachings, and governing authority (DECENTRALIZED authority). This is unprecedented in Church history!
4. Synodal study groups are now democratically determining morality. A Synodal study group determined that homosexuality is not longer sinful.
5. Ever since Vatican II (and Synodality), there is more focus on MAKING A BETTER WORLD/SEEKING FAVOR WITH THE WORLD rather than with BRING SOULS INTO HEAVEN
6. Synodality (lived experiences, toleration, inclusion, false compassion) often take precedence over Church teachings, scripture, and sin. Synodality becomes an IDOL.
7. Ever since Vatican II (and Synodality), there continues questionable ecumenism to seek unity of faith OUTSIDE the Catholic Church.
8. Synodal leaders and study groups continue to call upon the “Holy Spirit of surprises” to justify their novel Synodal ides. This is deceitful and evil in that the Holy can stand for TRUTH.
9. At Vatican II, Pope Paul VI met with a commission of Protestant theologians to create the Novus Order Mass. The Mass was made to look more like a community meal rather than a sacrifice. Let that sink in.
10. The Synodal Church focuses more on immigration, environment, politics rather than on spiritual issues.
11. The Synodal Church hierarchy includes scandalous clergy who ignore, disregard de-stigmatize or even celebrate sin (homosexuality).
12. The Synodal Church continues to insert cultural (pagan) practices, liturgical abuses, and secular events in their churches.
13. Pope Leo is more interested in meeting scandalous clergy, heretical leaders, and LGBTQ influencers rather than the SSPX.
14. Church leadership continues to implement Traditiones Custodes to restrict the TLM. This is their only administrative Synodal to try to stop the Holy Spirit-inspired movement toward Tradition and the TLM.

Conclusion:

Dijudicate, discern, discerning, decide, decision, ostentation, monstrance, separate, separation, hesitation, hesitate, distinguish, doubt, dubious, turn, advertise, condemn, judge

In the Old Testament, the focus is on rejection of God’s word rather than on doubt.

Update: Vatican II, responding to the signs of the times, discerned it was necessary for the Church to “get with the times” [bringing in “fresh air” and “smoke]. This lead to a spiritual and pastoral disaster for the Church.

Yet the Modernists and Synodalists are actually “doubling down” on what Vatican II did. More “fresh air” and more “smoke” in the Church. 

Sign of the times: Modernists and Synodalists continue to be hard-hearted in their spiritual blindness in restricting the TLM. They understood only too well about the peoples’ interest in the TLM. We need only to look at Acts 5:38-39 to see who will prevail in this conflict.

HUGE WARNING SIGN FOR THINGS TO COME WITH SYNODALITY: The German Church is “reforming” and “renewing” itself into heresy and decline!

The SSPX are being rebuked for upholding traditional Catholic Church teachings. The SSPX is being called “schismatic” for opposing the consequences of Vatican II and Synodality.

Blatant double standard: Communist China can consecrate their own bishops. When the SSPX consecrates their own bishops, they are considered “schismatic”.

Churches were being used for soccer viewing events, art exhibits, and other media events.

The USCCB and the Synodal Church are entrenched in political issues (immigration rights) and power struggles (women seeking the “right” to become priests and deacons).

In this Catholic rejuvenation, many Protestants are being inspired by the Holy Spirit to overcome the barriers, pressures, obstacles, and other Protestants in becoming Catholic.

Gaslighting 101: implemtation of Traditiones Custodes was based on false pretenses. The majority of bishops wanted to stay the course of Summorum Pontificum. This is another example of Modernists/Synodalists more concerned about promoting their ideology.

Modernist/Synodalists’ priorities on full display: Cardinal Cupich claims public disputes about the TLM distract the Church’s efforts on global issues.

Affirmative action and DEI, excluding more qualified people, are now being seen as a form of reverse racism.
